Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience
• Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care in an acute-care environment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Availability to work 12-hour night shifts throughout the travel assignment
• Required credentials and documentation must be completed before the start date

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Assess patients, develop individualized nursing plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly identify and escalate changes in status
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to established nursing standards
