Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Location: Kirksville, Missouri
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Weekends required
• Call: No standing call; call may be assigned based on volume within contract guidelines
• Floating: Primarily assigned to Med/Surg; may float to other units for task-based support within demonstrated competencies
• Unit Information: 10-bed inpatient rehabilitation/swing unit with an approximate 1:10 patient ratio
• Documentation: MedHost electronic medical record
• Dress Code: Any solid-color scrubs

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
• Recent medical-surgical nursing and inpatient rehabilitation experience required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and occasional call assignments
• Ability to float for task-based clinical support while practicing within established competencies

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for inpatient rehabilitation and swing patients
• Assess patients, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient response
• Perform routine medical-surgical nursing assessments and interventions
• Support care for Med/Surg patients when rehabilitation census needs allow
• Collaborate with providers, therapy teams, patients, and families to promote recovery and safe transitions of care
• Complete accurate electronic medical record documentation and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Maintain clinical standards, patient safety practices, and infection-control procedures
