Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring an active VA or compact RN license and prior post-operative patient care experience.

Details

• 36-bed Med/Surg unit staffed with clinical coordinators, RNs, techs, and a unit secretary on both day and night shifts
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs
• Meditech EMR used
• Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Familiarity with post-operative patient care preferred
• Competency with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

• Provide care for post-operative patients including drain maintenance and wound care
• Team-oriented environment valuing strong patient advocacy and ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Navy blue or white scrubs required; hoodies, pullovers, and t-shirts not permitted
• Unit recognized for top patient experience scores per HCAHPS
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
