Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring a Colorado or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg unit of a hospital setting providing acute care and swing bed patient care
• Adult Med/Surg patient population
• Night shift schedule, 6PM to 6AM, three shifts per week for 36 hours weekly
• Schedule includes every other weekend
• No mandatory overtime, though overtime is allowable

Requirements

• Active Colorado or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Minimum of one year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct acute care and swing bed patient care as part of a collaborative care team
• Evaluate patient health status through collection and assessment of health data
• Deliver health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy to patients
• Execute delegated medical functions and monitor therapy and treatment plans
• Accurately and timely document all assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination in the medical record
• Collaborate with ancillary departments and physician providers to address patients' medical, social, and spiritual needs in a culturally and age-appropriate manner
• Located in Salida, Colorado, known for its scenic outdoor recreation
