Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving an adult patient population
• Manage post-surgical care for patients with diagnoses including abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery
• Operate specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Completed skills checklist matching Medical/Surgical specialty
• Locals are welcome to apply (within 75 miles of the facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with bariatric or post-surgical patient populations
• Familiarity with nasogastric and feeding tube management
• Experience working with block scheduling in a hospital setting
