Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring MI licensure, 2+ years of Med/Surg experience, and pediatric experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within a 97-bed hospital
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, verified via LARA and/or Nursys
• Compact license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Epic EMR experience highly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to Med/Surg specialty, required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, education, and patient monitoring
• Act as team leader/member, delegating and directing support staff as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and update patient care goals
• Navy blue scrub dress code required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not considered
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) during the assignment
