Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Flexibility to float to other medical-surgical, MS-Tele, or IMC areas with lower-acuity patients as needed
• Experience with EPIC charting preferred
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills

Medical-Surgical RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population
• Monitor and assess patients with common diagnoses such as pneumonia, UTI, altered mental status, GI bleed, and falls/weakness
• Administer medications and manage ordered therapies in accordance with nursing practice standards
• Support titration of select drips as appropriate, excluding cardiac drips
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, monitor techs, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Perform essential nursing tasks including vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, bathing, feeding, toileting, and repositioning
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining a safe and efficient unit workflow
