Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Medical/Surgical unit requiring an active MA RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Adult and pediatric Medical/Surgical unit, including Joint Center orthopedic patients
• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30
• Uses Epic for charting
• Responsible for coordinating patient care and supervising LPNs and non-professional staff

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; conditional or pending licenses not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA preferred, Red Cross accepted at most sites; Salem accepts AHA only)
• Experience in orthopedic surgical care strongly preferred
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days of start and upon renewal (NURSYS and BON)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care and coordinate nursing care across the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and follows established organizational policies
• Flu vaccination required during flu season; no religious or medical exemptions permitted
• Local candidates accepted if residing within 60 miles of Boston, at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
