Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift contract requiring an active MA RN license and ACLS certification.

Details

• Telemetry unit providing care to patients with critical or life-threatening illness
• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic statuses
• Administers cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips
• Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions
• Cares for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Night shift schedule, 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA preferred)
• Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
• Both NURSYS and Board of Nursing verification required for nursing license

Additional Information

• Recognizes and assists patients in shock or with other life-threatening complications
• Interacts with patients and interdisciplinary teams across a range of ages and intellectual/physical abilities
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of the facility, at a reduced rate
• Parking not validated; public transportation or paid public lots available
• Uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
