BLS required. Float required. Resume should include last 12 months Epic Experience or candidate will not be considered. Must have 2+ years of experience. RTO due at the time of submission. No block scheduling will be accepted. Only accepting 7 days max of RTO. Candidates will automatically be rejected if there are more than 7 days. Formal education required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required. Unit Description: This is a 28-bed MS unit that provides 24 hours a day, 7 day a week nursing care to geriatric patients, age 65 and older who require inpatient acute care needs or need close observation and testing. Overflow Medical and/or Surgical patients are also placed on the unit. The unit focuses on four core features known as the 4Ms. These core features are evidence-based and form the foundation for age-friendly care. The 4Ms What Matters, Medication, Mentation, and Mobility guide our interdisciplinary team in organizing care and focusing on the older adult s wellness and strengths rather than solely on medical diagnoses. The team incorporates the 4Ms into existing care and deploys resources intended to prevent functional decline while addressing acute medical needs. Patients on the unit present with a variety of medical diagnoses such as GIB, UTI, trauma, infection, pneumonia, CHF, change in mental status and failure to thrive. Ratios range from 1:5/6.
