Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of Med Surg experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Position located on the 3A Medical unit at a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• May float within the same discipline across local campuses
• EMR system: Epic

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact)
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• 2+ years of Med Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Heparin drip experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last two years required

Additional Information

• Deliver professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a Med Surg unit
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Past employees of the health system (FTE or PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Holiday coverage required for winter holidays, with limited time-off requests during peak holiday periods
