What You'll Do

As a Med/Surg RN, you'll be responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care throughout the patient journey.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and continuously monitor patient health status.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide nursing interventions, therapies, and treatments based on patient needs.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and communicate changes appropriately.
• Provide patient and family education and health counseling.
• Perform delegated medical functions within your scope of practice.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
• Refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment when appropriate.
• Review and monitor treatment and therapy plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Utilize available resources to support quality patient care.
• Promote a safe, collaborative, and patient-centered environment.
• Float to other departments when required, provided the assignment is within your qualifications and competency.

✅ Requirements

Required:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice
• BLS – American Heart Association
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to provide safe and effective care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment

Preferred:

• BSN
• Previous Med/Surg or acute-care RN experience
• Additional certifications appropriate to the assigned unit, when applicable
