TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Iron River, Michigan.
UNIT: MedSurg RN
MANAGER INTERVIEW
Primary Location: Aspirus Iron River
Unit Information: 25-bed Med/Surg unit; patient ratios 1:4–1:5 days and 1:6 nights.
Required Licenses and Certifications: Current MI RN license and AHA BLS. ACLS is preferred but not required.
Required Experience: Minimum 2+ years Med/Surg required. ED experience preferred but not required; ICU experience not required.
Float Requirements (campuses and/or units): float to ED within competency required
On Call/Call Back Requirements: Can be low censused and put on call. Call back minimum is 2 hours
Weekend/Holiday Rotation Requirements: every other weekend/ holiday
Systems / Skills: Strong charting experience with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis.
Job Duties: General nursing care for primarily geriatric patients (CHF, COPD, diabetes, etc.).
Additional Notes: Candidates with both Med/Surg and ED experience are highly preferred. Travelers who can work across multiple departments are ideal; however, Med/Surg-only candidates will be fully considered.
Scrub Colors required: Any colored scrubs
GSA not applicable during orientation week
Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times. This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions). Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.
