Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring GA or compact RN licensure and at least one year of recent Med/Surg experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit with an Oncology floor focus
• Day shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (3x12 shifts also considered)
• Every other weekend (EOW) rotation required
• Patient ratio of 1:6 to 1:7
• Block scheduling considered
• Uses Cerner and Soarian EMR systems

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of recent Medical Surgical experience required
• Experience with higher patient ratios (above 1:6-1:7) required
• Telemetry and IV start skills required
• Oncology experience highly preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an Oncology patient population
• Royal blue scrubs required and not provided by the facility
• Minimal to no requested time off (RTO) accommodated, especially around holidays
• Local candidates residing 31-50 miles from the facility accepted at a local rate
• Candidates living less than 30 miles from the facility will not be considered
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start, completed through HealthStream
