Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Med/Surg unit requiring active IL and IA RN licensure and at least 1 year of Med/Surg, post-op, or stepdown experience.

Details

• Surgical/Orthopedic Med Surg unit
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM-7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of up to 5-7 patients
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• IA RN license also required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact license
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg, post-op, or stepdown experience required
• Surgical or post-op surgical experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• One supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last 2 years required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Level 1 trauma center environment
• Not eligible if employed by the facility within the past 12 months
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility for standard travel rate eligibility
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during peak holiday blackout periods
• First-time travelers may be considered
