Join a dynamic acute care medical-surgical team for a 13-week travel nursing contract in a supportive hospital setting with strong clinical resources, EPIC charting, and collaborative team members.

• Orientation: 12 hours, with unit and EMR orientation provided
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; block scheduling may be considered when possible
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience in an acute care setting
• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification required
• Ability to care for a varied adult patient population
• Comfort working with telemetry patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen support
• Willingness to float to other units when clinically competent
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to medical-surgical patients with conditions such as COPD, sepsis, CVA, COVID, pneumonia, and post-surgical needs
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status accurately in EPIC
• Administer medications and coordinate care for patients with telemetry and drip needs as appropriate
• Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy support to ensure safe patient care
• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment
• Assist with floating assignments when needed and within competency
