• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Floating: May float to other medical/surgical units as needed
• Charting System: EPIC

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or medical-surgical nursing experience
• Level I trauma experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• BLS certification through AHA required
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong admissions, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Provide care for general medical/surgical patients in a 15-bed unit
• Perform initial admissions and support patients until transfer to their assigned unit
• Monitor patient status and coordinate care in a high-volume acute care environment
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote safe, efficient patient flow
• Document nursing care accurately using EPIC
• Float to other Med/Surg areas as needed to support unit coverage
• Maintain professionalism and flexibility while working rotating day and night shifts
