Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring Level 1 Trauma and EPIC charting experience.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Six weekend shifts per six-week schedule
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• Floating required to similar units
• Uses EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, medication administration, care planning, and patient education for a designated caseload
• Receive bedside shift report and delegate patient care tasks to healthcare care technicians
• Maintain patient safety through fall precautions, isolation protocols, and hourly rounding
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and expedite discharge planning
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not work continuously at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
