Med Surg RN – Travel Assignment

Schedule & Pay

Day Shift | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
3×12 Hours
36 or 48 Hours/Week Guarantees Available
Rate: $88/hr
Overtime: Not billable until after 48 hours
Weekend: Every other weekend
On-Call: None

Unit Details

• Basic Medical-Surgical Unit
• Patient Ratio: 5:1 or 6:1
• EMR: Epic
• Dress Code: Ceil Blue scrubs
• Floating: Required — candidates must be willing to float
• Temp-to-Perm: Possible

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or Compact RN license
• BLS certification through AHA required
• 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
• BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including:
  • Assessment
  • Diagnosis
  • Planning
  • Intervention
  • Evaluation
• Provide routine and complex care to assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Monitor patients for treatment effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other healthcare providers
• Identify patient needs, concerns, and available resources
• Manage changing clinical situations and patient care needs
