Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac / Med-Surg Travel Assignment

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift:Days | 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Start Date: ASAP
• Rate:$90/hour
• Contract: 13 weeks / 91 contract weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week available
• Employment Type: Full-time
• Temp-to-Perm: Possible

Patients include:

• MI (Myocardial Infarction)
• CHF (Congestive Heart Failure)
• Arrhythmias
• PVD (Peripheral Vascular Disease)
• Some Med-Surg overflow

Clinical Highlights:

• Frequent management of cardiac drips
• Nurses manage cardiac drips but do not administer nitrate drips
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1, occasionally 6:1

Schedule Requirements

• Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Weekend: Every other weekend
• Call: No call
• Floating: Required when needed
• Overtime: Not billable until after 48 hours

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment or compact RN license
• BLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS – American Heart Association (AHA)
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• BSN preferred

Orientation & Competency Requirements

• Experienced RNs must attend New Nurse Orientation within the first 30 days.
• New hires are precepted by designated trained staff.
• Organizational entry competency validation is required.
• Med-Surg-specific competency validation is required.
• Annual competency verification requirements must be completed.
• Newly licensed RNs may participate in a residency or specialized orientation program.
