Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with cardiac/neuro and telemetry experience for a nights position requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work on 3 East, a Cardiac/Neuro unit within a 298-bed teaching hospital
• Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on unit
• Typical patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires working every other weekend
• Floating required as needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
• Minimum 4 years of current Medical/Surgical, Cardiac, and Neuro experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required in hand at profile upload
• Skills checklist with high proficiency in cardiac/neuro patients required, current within 1 year
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• Candidates must have their own vehicle for this assignment
• Straight Med/Surg experience alone does not qualify for this position

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to cardiac and neurology patients on a dedicated unit
• Personal scrubs of any color permitted for dress code
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• Holiday coverage required, working two of the following three holiday periods: Thanksgiving and the following Friday/weekend, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and the following Friday/weekend, or New Year's Eve/New Year's Day and the following Friday/weekend
• Block scheduling not considered
• All time off requests must be submitted and verified prior to profile upload, with a maximum of 5 days of RTO accepted
• Scheduling requests made after offer will not be approved and may result in a rescinded offer
• Permanent address must be included in profile at time of submission
• Not eligible for candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Not suitable for candidates seeking to work this assignment in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment
