Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse assignment
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Three weekend shifts every four weeks
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:5–6
• Charting System: Epic electronic health record (EHR)
• Float Expectations: Float to medical units based on staffing needs
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs

Med/Surg RN Job Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of Level I, Level II, or tertiary-care nursing experience
• At least 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience in a large hospital with approximately 450 beds or more
• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Strong patient assessment, clinical prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience with Epic or another electronic health record system preferred

Med/Surg Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive acute-care medical-surgical nursing to patients with complex and varied diagnoses
• Assess patients, develop and update individualized care plans, administer treatments, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Care for adult patients with conditions including COPD, diabetes, CHF, end-stage renal disease, pneumonia, sepsis, stroke, dementia, and gastrointestinal disorders
• Monitor and manage IV therapy, IV pumps, feeding tubes and pumps, wound vacs, chest tubes, telemetry, and sequential compression devices
• Safely manage heparin and insulin infusions and perform blood glucose monitoring
• Prepare and care for patients undergoing procedures such as colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, paracentesis, biopsies, and minor surgical procedures
• Use Epic for accurate, timely clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Float to other medical units as needed while maintaining safe, patient-centered care
• Participate in hospital and nursing orientation, including Epic training, to support a successful travel nursing assignment
