Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical unit position requiring renal care experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg unit with 21 beds
• Population includes renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients
• Serves patients ages 18 to 60+
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:6
• Staffing team includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns, with RN assuming full responsibility for team patients
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• 13-week assignment length
• May be required to float between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity
• Notification provided prior to scheduled shift if floating is required

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address

• Assume full responsibility for patient care within assigned team, working alongside LPNs, PCTs, and Nurse Interns
