Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Flex Pool night shift role requiring an active HI RN license and 2+ years of experience floating between medical and surgical units.

Details

• Flex RN role floating between various medical and surgical units
• Floating includes Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasionally Cardiovascular Unit
• Medical Unit has 77 beds, Laulima (surgical acute) has 18 beds, and Cardiovascular Unit has 15 beds
• Nurse to patient ratios: Medical 1:6 days/eves and 1:8 nights, Laulima 1:6, Cardiovascular 1:4
• Ratios may vary due to unexpected staff leaves
• 12-hour night shifts (1845-0715)
• Scheduled 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
• No guarantee of hours
• Uses Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes

Requirements

• Active HI RN license required by start of assignment; may apply upon offer acceptance if not currently licensed
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC certifications preferred
• 2-10 years of nursing experience required
• Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted

Additional Information

• Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to assignment start for a scheduled appointment
• Candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
• Unit-specific orientation and training time provided
• Professional nursing attire required, including clean scrubs
