Thrive Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Float PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift Information

12-hour night shifts (1845 to 0715) with a schedule of 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note there is no guarantee of hours.

Minimum Experience Required

Two years of nursing experience is required.

Certifications and Requirements

• General Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS
• Candidates must possess a valid State of HI nursing license by the start of the assignment. If you do not have an active license upon acceptance, please apply immediately.
• Documentation of immunity is required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted.

Job Duties

The role requires floating between various medical and surgical units, including:

• Medical Unit
• Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute)
• Cardiovascular Unit (on rare occasions)

Equipment Utilized

• Meditech EMR
• Pyxis
• Wound vac
• Chest tubes

Patient Ratios

The nurse-to-patient ratios for the units are as follows:

• Medical Unit: 1:6 for days and evenings, 1:8 for nights
• Laulima Unit: 1:6
• Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Ratios may vary due to unexpected leaves.

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required.

Orientation and Training

Orientation will be provided for each unit to ensure effective integration into the team.

Holiday Coverage

Availability for holiday coverage is required.
