Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg-Tele Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of recent acute care experience and the ability to adapt quickly across multiple units.

Details

• Float pool position covering 5 different Med/Surg-Tele units within a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts (PM shift)
• 36 hours per week schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Uses Meditech and Epic EMR systems
• Requires independent telemetry strip reading skills
• Must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with 84% or better (up to 2 attempts)

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
• Meditech and Epic EMR experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• 3-5 years of previous float experience preferred
• Must be adaptable to working across 5 different Med/Surg-Tele units

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across multiple Med/Surg-Tele units as part of a float pool team
• Must be able to adapt quickly to different unit environments and workflows
• No extended RTO permitted during the assignment
• Availability required most Fridays
• No specific schedule requests accommodated
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are accepted at a local rate
