Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00 PM-7:30 AM and 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
• Shifts may be variable and subject to rotation based on operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• 20-week assignment for winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact license required, in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• Must successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg Tele nursing care with potential float responsibilities across related units and the ED
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
