Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN with an active Ohio or compact license and at least 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience for a rotating shift assignment.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele Float Pool position at a hospital main campus
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night 3x12 schedule (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm), subject to change based on hospital operational needs
• 18-week assignment for winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered
• Required to work at least every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license - Ohio permanent or compact license required in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty being applied for, preferably within one location
• Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months
• Must pass an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients across multiple float units
• Complete required competency modules prior to start and annually thereafter
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy
• Open background check cases or any professional license hits will not be accepted
• Permanent or per diem candidates who previously worked at the health system must wait one year from their prior end date before returning
• All requested time off must be discussed and finalized during the interview process
