Job Description:

The role involves working in the Float Pool across MedSurg, Telemetry, and PCU units in both campuses, including inpatient holding in the ED. The RN will manage patient care, titrate drips, and monitor telemetry, including interpretation of strips. Responsibilities also include caring for geriatric, orthopedic, post-procedural, and post-op cardiac patients.

Responsibilities:

• Float across MedSurg, Telemetry, and PCU units
• Caring for post MI, post Cardiac Cath, and CABG post-op day 3-4 patients
• Titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Interpret telemetry strips

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS Certification
• At least 1 year experience in a PCU setting
• Comfort managing a variety of titratable drips
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract
