Unit Information

Acute Care inpatient oncology, Medical-Surgical.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a medical/surgical setting.
  • Monitor and assess patient health status and vital signs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Assist healthcare team in developing and implementing patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain a safe and effective environment for patients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a medical/surgical nursing specialty.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Holiday Expectations

Must work 2 major holidays from the following options: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday from the following options: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
