Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position at a Level III Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a short-term acute care, teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment length
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to like units, hospital, or sister campus depending on booking
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC state or compact) currently in hand, pending license not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care within a Level III Trauma Center and teaching hospital environment
• 733 total staffed beds
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the main campus to be eligible as a traveler
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 4 days and subject to manager's discretion
• Only 1 holiday can be approved for time off
• Travelers on night shift may extend their contract up to twice before needing to be gone 6 months to return
• Previous employees must be gone for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
