Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in the MedSurg/Tele unit. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in medical-surgical care, with the ability to manage a variety of general medical conditions. The environment is a busy care setting with a focus on patient-centered care and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Manage chest tubes, trachs, and utilize PCA pumps.
• Administer medications including Amiodarone, Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, and Heparin.
• Monitor telemetry and manage patient ratios effectively.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2 years of MST experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels
• Experience reading telemetry strips
• Skills in chest tube and tracheostomy care, PIV starts, and gtt management
