Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering safe patient care
Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

Active Texas RN license or multi-state RN license
Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry and/or LTAC experience in a hospital setting
Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior travel nursing experience
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems used in an acute care or LTAC environment
