Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN for a MedSurg/Tele assignment in a high-acuity Level 1 Trauma Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience with patients suffering from acute or chronic diseases and post-op surgeries within a medical-surgical setting.
Provide patient care and assessment in a med-surg setting
Manage cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
Perform wound care and post-op monitoring
Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
Engage in discharge planning and patient education management
Qualifications
Required:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) - must pass EKG competency exam
2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
Skills in trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, glucommander, insulin drips, heparin drips
Strong clinical assessment and med-surg nursing skills for a Level 1 Trauma Hospital
IV insertion and care, central line management
Preferred:
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
Medical-Surgical certification
PEL/VIP Job ID #65212634. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
