Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry or combined specialty experience
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
• Ability to work every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition testing and safeMedicate during orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to a medical-surgical telemetry patient population
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and carry out physician orders accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document care thoroughly and accurately in Epic electronic health records
• Prioritize patient safety, timely interventions, and clear communication throughout the shift
• Adapt to a dynamic acute care environment while maintaining professionalism and excellent bedside care
