Job Details

• Setting: Acute care medical-surgical and telemetry unit
• Location: Middletown, Connecticut
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Orientation: 2 shifts
• Start Date: September 4, 2026

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry experience in an acute care setting preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIHSS required
• Must be comfortable working 48 hours when needed
• Must be available for every other weekend and holiday coverage
• No first-time travelers
• Must not require blocked scheduling
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with varied diagnoses
• Monitor patient status, interpret changes, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and support treatment plans according to unit standards
• Document accurately and efficiently in the EPIC charting system
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nursing assistants, and clinical staff to support patient flow and quality outcomes
• Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Support unit operations by working scheduled weekends and holidays as required
