Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred to support telemetry patient care
• One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• Willingness to complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Ability to provide all required compliance documentation prior to start
• Travel nurses must have active certifications and clear background/license review requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients in an acute care setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly recognize changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, complete assessments, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective treatment plans
• Respond to patient needs and communicate effectively with providers and team members
• Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment on a busy night shift
• Follow unit standards, compliance requirements, and orientation expectations
