Oncology Registered Nurse – Med Surg/Telemetry

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Oncology RN to provide care to adult and geriatric patients with cancer diagnoses, including endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers.

The unit provides chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, CBI, and neobladder care, with a strong focus on infection prevention and fall management.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
  • Current acute-care experience in the specialty being applied for — must have been working consistently within the last 12 months
  • BLS
  • Epic charting experience
  • Medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Chemotherapy administration/monitoring experience
  • Oncology-specific experience, including chemotherapy and brachytherapy
  • Valid compact or state RN license in hand at submission
  • Nursing education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
  • 2 professional references
    • At least 1 must be from a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader
    • Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference
    • Coworker references are not accepted

Preferred Qualification

  • ONS Chemotherapy certification

  • MS/Tele nursing
  • PCA pumps
  • Surgical drains
  • Tracheostomy care/management
  • Feeding tube care
