Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 12-hour night shift contract requiring active NH or compact RN license and 2+ years of acute care experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), 3 shifts per week, every other weekend required
• Utilizes Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA), and Phenobarbital on Tele
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• May be required to float to an affiliated hospital location
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam with 80% or higher during onboarding
• Minimum 2+ years of recent experience in an acute care Med/Surg Tele setting
• 2 recent Charge/Manager RN references required for consideration, with a 3rd required once committed (2 from leadership)

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients in an acute hospital setting
• Accepts local candidates within 50 miles at the local rate
• First-time travelers with good experience will be considered
• Former staff members may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• Weekly orientation provided
• RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
