Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN to manage ED boarder assignments requiring strong Med/Surg-PCU and cardiac drip experience, with a current NH or Compact RN license.

Details

• Position primarily based in the ED, managing Med/Surg-PCU admit hold patients
• Shift schedule of 7a-7p weekdays with every other weekend (EOW)
• 12-hour day shifts
• Floating required to Stepdown, Med/Surg units, and potentially the Behavioral Health Annex (training provided)
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration (temporary license not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 2-3 years of ER experience required; candidates closer to 2 years must demonstrate strong, independent, self-starter skills across a variety of care settings
• Strong Med/Surg-PCU background required, including cardiac drip experience
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Driver's license with address matching demographics required for consideration

• Manage admit hold patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient placement
• Opportunity to orient to the Behavioral Health/Psych Annex
• Weekly orientation provided
• Local candidates accepted at a local rate for those within 50 miles of the facility
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for travel rate eligibility
• Returning perm staff may apply as travelers after a 12-month break in service
