Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry Travel Nursing Job in Cleveland, Ohio

Travel RN Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370

• End Date: January 22, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Days, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Additional Scheduling: Rotating shifts may be required to support operational needs. Travel nurses are expected to work at least every other holiday.

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse licensure in Ohio or a compact state, active and in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Strong telemetry nursing skills, including ECG rhythm recognition and cardiac monitoring
• Active certifications must be submitted; pending certifications are not accepted
• Professional reference from a nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty and from the past 12 months
• Successful completion of required background screening and pre-employment compliance requirements
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and promptly escalate concerns
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
• Complete patient assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Manage multiple patient priorities in a fast-paced inpatient healthcare environment
• Float, when needed, to comparable units and emergency care areas to care for patients with similar medical-surgical and telemetry needs
• Support safe transitions of care through discharge planning and effective communication
