Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) – Cleveland, Ohio Travel Nursing Contract

Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel Registered Nurse contract
- Start Date: October 23, 2026
- End Date: January 22, 2027
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250-$2,370
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; three 12-hour shifts
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Options: Day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m.; night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
- Scheduling: Day/night rotation may be required based on operational needs, with consideration given to the nurse’s preferred shift
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday
- Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including seizure-monitoring patients
Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent permanent experience as a Registered Nurse in medical-surgical telemetry or a closely related specialty
- Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand before the assignment begins
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Strong telemetry knowledge and ECG rhythm-recognition skills
- Ability to complete ECG rhythm-recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation with a passing score
- Ability to provide one recent professional reference from a nurse manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty
- Flexibility to float to comparable units caring for the same patient population when needed
- Strong communication, organization, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Perform focused and comprehensive assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
- Support seizure-monitoring patients through ongoing assessment, safety interventions, and interdisciplinary coordination
- Collaborate with providers, therapists, nursing colleagues, patients, and families to coordinate effective care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and communicate effectively during handoff
- Adapt to rotating day and night assignments, weekend coverage, holiday requirements, and floating needs
