Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Details

  • Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
  • Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
  • May care for patients on ventilators
  • Rotating Day/Night shifts (3x12 hours): 7:00pm-7:30am or 7:00am-7:30pm
  • Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital, though preferred shift will be honored when possible
  • Required to work at least every other holiday
  • 20-week assignment for winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered

Requirements

  • Active Ohio RN license or compact license in hand required
  • AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele specialty required (preferred within one location, but not required)
  • Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required (travel experience accepted)
  • Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care within the Med/Surg Tele unit, with potential to care for ventilator patients
  • Locals accepted at the same bill rate
  • Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
  • Previous permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their end date before returning
  • Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 consecutive months, with a required 6-month break before returning unless client-approved
