Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a hospital position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and prior specialty experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit at a hospital main campus
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 pm-7:30 am / 7:00 am-7:30 pm)
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs, though preferred shift will be honored when possible
• 18-week assignment with 13-week options also accepted for winter coverage
• Required to work every other holiday

Requirements

• Active RN license - Ohio or compact required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty required
• Prior oncology/chemotherapy administration experience preferred, though training is provided for qualified candidates
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applying specialty required (co-worker references not accepted)
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with acceptable scores
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to a med/surg telemetry population
• Experienced oncology nurses encouraged to apply, with chemotherapy administration training provided
• Orientation includes required competency assessments (ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate), with a maximum of two attempts to pass
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to Cleveland Clinic hospitals for 1 year from their previous end date
• Background check hits are reviewed, but open cases will not be accepted
• No license hits will be accepted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
