Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring compact or OK RN license, 2 years of MS/Tele/Neuro experience, and night shift availability.
Details
- Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a 24-bed hospital
- Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 19:00-7:30
- 12-week assignment
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Uses Epic charting system (preferred experience)
- Cardiac monitoring and telemetry remote monitoring equipment used
- Floating required to other units and sister Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius, as needed
- No block scheduling accommodations available
Requirements
- Active compact or OK state RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry/Neuro experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Skilled in gastrointestinal, respiratory, genitourinary/renal, neurological, and cardiovascular care
- Experience with chest tubes, central/PICC/peripheral line management, blood product administration, and IV therapy
- Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, tracheostomy care, and non-invasive airway management
- Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and rapid response/code team protocols
- Current valid driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration
- Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address (dated within last 3 months of start date) required for consideration
- Two supervisory references required
- Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
- Manage patients with conditions such as CVA, seizure disorders, substance withdrawal, and renal failure
- Administer medications including Heparin protocols and PCA
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Candidates must be willing to float to other units and sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
- Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment; no holiday RTO accepted
- Former Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation before eligibility for travel assignments
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Any gaps of 3 months or more in work history must include an explanation
