Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with 2+ years of MS/Tele experience and stroke patient care background for a night shift assignment.

Details

• Primarily scheduled on the Med/Surg 4 or 5 unit
• Must have competency to float to telemetry
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• Blocked scheduling cannot be approved

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2 years of MS/Tele nursing experience required, tele experience preferred
• Experience caring for stroke patients required
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• MS experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• ICU/ED experience preferred
• Conscious sedation/vent management experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Tele unit with cardiac monitoring responsibilities
• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-6 hours to complete
• 5 days RTO maximum permitted
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers considered with strong relevant experience
