Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2 years of experience and OK or compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
  • Care for patients requiring pacemaker management, IV insulin protocols, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
  • Patient ratio of 1:4-6
  • Epic charting system required
  • Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:00)
  • Floating required within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
  • Block scheduling requests are not accommodated

Requirements

  • Active OK or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and EKG Course/Telemetry test
  • Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Current and valid DL or State-issued ID required
  • Utility bill in traveler's name with matching address within the last three months required
  • Permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility
  • Two supervisory references required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care within a Med/Surg Telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
  • Perform skilled care including central line management, PICC line management, blood product administration, and wound care
  • Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment with no holiday RTO accepted
  • First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
  • Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius from the facility to be eligible
  • Previous INTEGRIS employees must have a minimum 1-year separation from employment to be eligible
  • Candidates with any license hits will not be considered
  • Charge nurse experience is preferred but not required
