Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience and OK or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting
• Day shift, 3x12 hours from 07:00-19:30
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required to sister facilities within a 75-mile radius
• Block scheduling requests not accommodated

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required, pending state license not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, EKG Course/Telemetry test, NIHSS, and ACLS
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, rapid response/code team participation, telemetry remote monitoring, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and PICC line management, blood product administration, respiratory support (nasal cannula, oxygen administration, chest tubes), wound care, feeding tube management, CBI, pre/post hemodialysis management, and heparin/PCA protocols
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required for consideration
• Utility bill in candidate's name with matching address dated within 3 months of start required, with address more than 75 miles from the facility
• 2 supervisory references required
• Copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response
• Perform IV therapy, line management, and respiratory and wound care as needed
• Floating to other Integris facilities within a 75-mile radius is required and candidates must be willing to float
• Maximum RTO of 5 days per 13-week assignment, with no holiday or blackout date requests permitted
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former Integris employees must have a minimum 1-year separation from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Any gaps in work history of 3 months or more must be explained
