Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Telemetry RN for a day shift hospital assignment requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit with a telemetry patient population
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Epic charting system used
• Floating to other units or sister Integris facilities within 75 miles may be required if needed
• No block scheduling accommodations available

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• EKG course/telemetry test certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and cardiac monitoring/dysrhythmia management
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions/PPE, and PCA/thrombolytic medication management
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill with matching address within the last 3 months required for consideration
• Two supervisory references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Manage a variety of clinical needs including renal, neurological, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic conditions
• Perform wound care, insulin drip titration, and total joint replacement/traction care as needed
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
• Maximum of 5 days RTO allowed per 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO accepted
• Must have at least 1 year of separation from Integris if previously employed there
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
