Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Tele RN for a fast-paced admission unit requiring BLS, ACLS, and at least 2 years of specialty experience.

Details

• Works in a 10-bed inpatient overflow/admission unit at a high-acuity, Level 1 trauma center
• Cares for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery
• Rapid admission unit with faster patient turnover than a typical med/surg unit
• Maintains a 5:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg-Tele specialty required
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital settings required
• Must be able to communicate clearly and work independently
• Work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care within a rapid admission unit handling complex and challenging trauma-related cases
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Block scheduling is generally not approved for this unit
